BIG NEWS ! NOW HEAR THIS.

Ten members including the Board of Directors and scale coordinators met today to inspect a possible new home for Crossville Model Railroad Club. There was an overall attitude of this being a good place to rebuild our layouts and get back to playing with trains. The space, accessibility, lighting, plumbing, power, and parking concerns are all ‘GO‘. A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING for ALL CMRC members will be held at the Oaklawn Baptist Church, 3977 US 70 East on Saturday, May 18, at 09:00 AM to discuss the possibility of leasing this space.

    Guest Speaker Ralcon Wagner

A special presentation by author/historian Ralcon Wagner will delve into the research behind his just released book titled Tennessee Central The First 50 Years.            For over 60 years, the Tennessee Central Railway spanned 296 miles, linking western Kentucky with middle and east Tennessee. Visionary businessman Jere Baxter consolidated several railroads over the course of five years. By 1904, his new railway was serving numerous coal mines on its eastern end. Heroes and Patriots Day

For a number of years, the CMRC has sponsored a special day honoring our military personnel, normally on the Memorial Day weekend. The event began at 11 AM (Central Time), with a significant attendance. In addition to one of the largest ceremonies…

    Crossville Train Weekend Extravaganza !

The Crossville Model Railroad Club show was held from September 22-23, 2018. Although the train show brought a disappointing attendance (primarily due to a large number of area events the same weekend), those who did attend were extremely impressed by the HUGE HO Modular Layout brought to the show by the Dayton Area Modular Modelers, who traveled from Dayton, OH with two large trailers to bring their layout to the show for Operations and running sessions on both days. We want to express our sincere thanks to that Club for supporting our event, and ‘making the day’ for so many of our attendees.
