Kingston, TN TVA Fossil Fuel Power Plant

On July 16, 2018, a large group of CMRC Members and Spouses enjoyed a tour of the Kingston, TN TVA Fossil Fuel Power Plant. The 4+ hour tour and related briefings were conducted in an extremely efficient and professional manner by TVA Management and employees, with many of us learning things we never realized.

 

 

Our sincere thanks to TVA Management personnel, and all those with whom we made contact with. Built in the 1950s, the TVA design and methods utilized in this facility remain extremely effective in today’s world. With a large emphasis on our environment and safety, this plant remains one of the most effecient coal fueled power plants in the country today.
